New build the High Rate Car chargers for electrical vehicles served by a new ESB sub-station with power measured at 20KV .
The installations comprise new ESB sub stations, a client MV Room to house MV switch, Transformer with an LV room to house the LV switch board and misc., equipment. The projects are part of a roll out of installations across Europe on behalf of a consortium of European car manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, Ford and is subsidised by the EU. Sites to date include Gorey, Athlone, Gormanston, Cashel, Kill North & South
