Bat Sensitive Lighting on Public Bridge

As part of the planning application for a new build 6 storey over basement apartment block the developer had to provide a new link bridge to a public park.

Following a report commissioned by Dun Laoghaire the proposed lighting scheme had to comply with the recommendation by ecologists and Bat Specialists and with the requirements of Bat Conservation Ireland.

We prepared a public lighting scheme to compliance with planning conditions and the ecologists’ requirements.

As the bridge and the link stairs were for public use the scheme had to also comply with building codes and the requirements of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Councils design criteria and equipment requirements. The scheme was designed in accordance with ISEN 13201:2015.
