The existing Ammonia and Chlorine gas installation upgrade was completed to meet obligations under the Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) regulations and comply the aims of Seveso -III-Directive (2012/18/EU) for the prevention of major incidents involving dangerous substances.
The installation included high and low level ammonia leak detection for refrigeration plant and operational areas complete with zone panel, interface to site central monitoring station , ATEX door access systems, ATEX rated emergency exhaust ventilation , ATEX rated lighting and fire detection along with an upgrade of fire compartmentation.
