He is the founder and director of Carmody Engineering which has been in operating since 2017. The businesses cover all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services for a wide range of projects.
Philip has extensive experience within the building services industry including project management of major projects in Ireland, the UK and Middle East.
Philip was the head of the building services department for the Ireland office of the global engineering company from 2002 – 2016. Philip grew the department and delivered major projects in Ireland and overseas including significant infrastructural projects including Heighways, Airports, Rail, Transport and pumping stations.
Philip worked in the UK for fourteen years and employers include Arup, Troup Bywaters & Anders and The Sinnott Partnership
Director and Business Operations Manager
Deirdre joined the company in 2017 as a director and oversees marketing and business administration.
Deirdre has a broad range of experience in the business world and has worked oversees in London, New York and Poland.
Deirdre has a degree in Marketing from the University of Limerick and completed numerous ITC CPD courses.
Director of Engineering Services & Senior Mechanical Services Engineer
Ken joined Carmody Engineering on a full-time basis in 2017 has extensive experience within the building services industry including project management of major projects in Ireland, the UK and Middle East.
He was a director of McArdle McSweeney O’Malley and has owned and operated several engineering businesses.
Recent projects include;
National Convention Centre Dublin: Building services Construction manager for the €100m centre. The building can hold up to 8,000 people in 22 meeting rooms, which include a 2,000-seat auditorium and a 4,500 square metre exhibition and banqueting space. It also features a thermal-wheel heat-recovery system and an ice-storage thermal unit to provide air conditioning for the building.
Hotel Qatar: Design team leader and project manager for a 16 level 225 Bedroom 26,000 sq. m Hotel Building with 5 Basements and 12,000 sq m retail building
Steam Boilerhouse: Process Facility, West Cork. Design, project management, cost control and supervision for works associated with the complete replacement of steam boilers and all pipework.
The works included a phased removal of 5 No. steam boilers and installation of. 1 No. 30,000 kg/hr 30 barg (20,700 KW ) Water Tube boiler and 2 No 20,000 kg/hr 12 barg (13,800 KW ) Fire Tube Three Pass boilers while ensuring steam was available for the process works at all times
Senior CAD Building Services Engineer
Padraig is a senior CAD building services engineer with over twenty five years’ experience in the construction industry.
He started out in the construction industry as an installation contractor and brings this practical knowledge to his design.
He is an expert in many software modelling systems. Padraig has extensive experience on Middle East schemes and has worked with Carmody Engineering since 2017 and has worked on most schemes over that period.
Senior CAD Engineer
Arron is a senior CAD engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.
He started out in the industry as an architectural technician and brings this building fabric practical knowledge to his schemes. He is an expert in many software modelling systems including Revit.
Arron has extensive experience in the Irish market and has worked with Carmody Engineering since 2017 and has worked on many schemes over that period.
